Unique Baby Scrapbooking Ideas
If you’re looking for unique ideas to put a bit of flavor into your baby page, I’ve got a few that I think you’ll like. I have seen a lot of baby scrapbook pages and the ones that always catch my eye and make me say, “aww”, are the ones that are out of the ordinary. I always like the ones that don’t have the usual baby cutie flare better. Here’s some baby scrapbooking layout ideas.
1. Country style
One way to make your baby page unique is to add a bit of country flare. I don’t mean go all country, just a little bit. Instead of the blue on white or the pink on white with the little polka dots, why not choose a tiny flower print? Or for baby boys, how about a stripe with some browns in it? Instead of paper, why not fabric? To make it more country looking, choose prints with a slightly faded look. You could still go with the traditional pink and blue, but why not do it in ribbon instead? Buttons always make things look more country.
2. Brights
I know pastels are generally considered baby colors, but we’re breaking out of that shell. How about we try something different? By using brighter colors, the pages stand out a little bit. But you don’t want it to look like a toddler page. Primary colors are generally used for first days of school type pages. We don’t want to confuse our viewers. So instead, let’s pair up some brights with some pastels. For example, if it’s a girl, pick out a bright green print, maybe with some brown in it or white, and pair it with a pastel pink in small quantities. Or if it’s a boy, pick out a bright orange, maybe with some small amounts of yellow in it, and pair it with a pastel blue in small quantities. These are just examples of how to use brighter colors on your baby pages.
3. Darks
If brights just aren’t your thing, here’s an even better idea. How about darker versions? It would look really nice to have navy blue as your background and dark brown as the accent for a baby boy. Add hints of the regular pastel blue and you’ve got a very nice color scheme for a baby boy that breaks out of the norm. Try using a deep purple as a base for a baby girl and then your accents can be anything from violet to pink to light coral.
