Getting Free Samples
The battle these days is tough amongst businesses that sell products. Almost all items in the market have numerous variations whether it be brands or slight differences in the model. Therefore companies face stiff competition to maintain the upper hand on their rivals. On the other hand, customers are either seeing it as a good thing or just frustrating to have to search for their one ideal brand among the hundreds of other brands. As a result, companies have resorted to sending out free samples to potential buyers in a marketing effort. The question then becomes where can we actually get a hold of these freebies.
At first it might seem odd that companies are willing to dish out free samples while apparently getting nothing in return. However this can’t be further from the truth as businesses that send out free samples are building goodwill. This is also one of the best methods of attracting more consumers to a particular product. By letting potential customers trial their product, provided that their product at least matches the quality of the rivals, you have built goodwill and favor in the eyes of customers. Companies are able to earn loyalty, and consumers are able to check out their products for free before actually buying them.
Freebies used to be found only in local newspapers, often Sunday papers. However this has now shifted predominantly to the Internet and now more so social networking. Whilst there are copious amounts of freebie sites on the Internet, consumers are tired of websites that purport to be offering freebies but are full of affiliate links or scams. It’s basically the responsibility of the surfer to determine what they are willing to accept to get their free samples.
The first tip is to set up a “junk” email account with Gmail which is set aside for your free stuff search alone. This way your everyday accounts will not be bombarded with spam. I am a big advocate of Gmail as it already has fantastic anti spam measures. Once you have set up that account, you’re armed and ready to do your freebie search.
Using Google, you can type one of 3 key phrases, Free Stuff, Freebies or Free Samples. Each of these keywords will bring millions of search results. Obviously the ones on the first couple of pages are the most relevant so take your pick.
The best sites are the ones that aren’t full of affiliate sites or trying to get you to sign up to something else so you can get the free samples. Otherwise in the end you may end up spending more than you would have if you never searched for the free stuff in the first place. There are a few sites I would recommend you having a look at as I have found them quite useful and user friendly.
Freestufftimes.com, FreeStuff4Free.com and Shop4Freebies. All 3 of these sites are slightly different yet provide a user experience that is pleasant and ultimately helps you get what you came for.
Have a go with these 3 sites. If you don’t like the experience, then there are plenty of other options available to you.
