Ballesteros said they have designated an area for food vendors where they pay P1,500 and will be provided with a big umbrella and a table where they display their food products. This is done to regulate the number of vendors and ensure order, Ballesteros further said.

The contribution of the Sinulog does not end during the parade alone as all hotels now are fully booked while the Sinulog Festival itself will have its launching event tomorrow, this is said.

Ballesteros said even months before, reservations have been made in the first week of January as foreign tourists and Balikbayans have been known to come home for the Sinulog event.

“There are even chartered flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles to Cebu for the Sinulog for Balikbayans alone,” Ballesteros declared. “This is why the Sinulog Festival is tagged as the mother of all festivals following its wide-base popularity not only domestically but internationally as well and its is even found in the internet,” Ballesteros bared.

Arrangements have also been made to welcome the Balikbayans and foreign tourists as well to ensure that they have a great time pack with memorable memories of Cebu when they get back home, Ballesteros said.
